Midnight Transit Co. is an original band from Tucson Arizona whose music is influenced by some of the greatest rock bands of the 60’s and 70’s.


These five extremely talented musicians create songs that are influenced by British and American artists with a taste of classic rock and a touch of the blues.

 

Their music is dynamic and full of raw emotion and energy.

Bob Russell, Guitar, Lead Vocals: (aka Bonnie Russell)  was born in Ramsgate Kent England. At the age of 16 he started touring around Europe and the Midwestern United states with some of the most incredible musicians and song writers of the 60’s and 70’s. 

He grew up in the South Side of Chicago and studied music at the Chicago Conservatory of music.  He has opened for bands such as: Bob Seger System, Guess Who, Alice Cooper Group, New York Dolls, Ike and Tina Turner, ZZ Top, Joe Walsh Barnstorm, Frampton’s Camel, Leslie West, Foghat, the Hounds, Wishbone Ash, and many great others.

 

After playing alongside his longest friend and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer; Michael Bruce (guitarist and songwriter for the original Alice Cooper Group) Bob decided to focus on writing and performing his own music.

With his first solo album released in March of 2018 through Spectra Music Group, Bob has teamed up with 4 other talented musicians to make up what is now known as The Midnight Transit Co.

Rob Francis; Keyboards, Vocals:  Rob Francis is a graduate from the U of A school of music, French Horn and Education Major. He has opened for Commander Cody, Berlin, Buffalo Springfield, Point Blank, Tab Benoit among many others. His influence are far and wide from Keith Emerson to Cory Henry, Bach to Aaron Jay Kernis and many in between.  He composed the stage and film music for the Nick Ramus Soliloquy, “And Evening with Sitting Bull”. Rob remains a performer and educator to this day.  His talents on Piano, Hammond B-3 and various keyboards cover the many styles of influences absorbed so the journey continues with Midnight Transit Co.
